Il n’aurait fallu

Nous, organisations et citoyens soussignés, refusons que l’aide aux migrants soit considérée comme un délit.
Nous sommes scandalisés par les mises sur écoute, les intimidations et les arrestations de bénévoles.
Nous soutenons et soutiendrons toutes celles et ceux qui sont ou seront inquiétés par les autorités pour avoir tendu la main à des hommes et des femmes innocents, abandonnés dans nos fossés par les États européens.
Nous demandons la mise en place d’une nouvelle politique de l’immigration, une politique à visage humain, soucieuse de la dignité et des libertés de chacun.
Le drame de l’après-Sangatte a trop duré.

We the Eritrean Refugees in UK were shoken to hear about the arrest of Madam Monica last week. It was a sad news we heard about the detention
of Madam Monica and other 5 people from the camp. Almost all Eritrean Refugees and Asylum Seekers in UK pass through the Channel France Calais-Dover. We the Eritrean Mingrants in UK are now in relaxed situation, We do not forget the help and generosity of the people of France while we were in difficult situation, with out their help we could not withstan (resist) the chilly weather and reach our destination. The people of France specially the people arround Calais and their humanitarian organisation helped us a lot to get the basic neccessoties like shelter, food, clothing, medicine etc. We can not express their help, generosity and kindness with our words.

Madam Monica and her association are working volintarily in the humanitarian action helping the migrants who are in bad condition. Helping the migrants is a very humanitarian action. It is not a crime. Being migrant is not a crime. Madam Monica is very famous for its action on humanity and her kindness to every migrant. So We the Eritrean Refugees and Asylum Seekers in UK in general and Eritrean Migrant Groups arround London in particular, strongly condemn the detantion of Madam Monica, and we Demand the realise of Madam Monica and other 5 people taken from the camp. In general we demand for the betterment of the migrants condition arround calais, and the improvement of the process of asylum condition in France.
